The beautiful, sweet energy vortex generated by this wand is its hallmark.
Just as with the drums I make, which tell me their stories as I work on them, the wands, too whisper and show me symbols in their language. Definitely, I sensed a spiral the moment I first began shaping the lightning-struck shaft. When it was time to select a crystal, I sat with all of those I had in the shop until I sensed a reciprocal spiral signature coming from the one I finally chose.
When at last the two were brought together, it seemed not only that a bright spiral began lifting my awareness, but that a powerful vortex was also forming simultaneously. The light I sensed was tinted around the edges with a rosy blue, which is to say soft rays of reddish pink and blue, intermingled. Together, of course, these form the spectrum of the sacred spectrum of purples, the colors most associated with the upper most chakra in our bodies. (As a side note, I attempted without success to replicate the color scheme when making the above graphic image used to display a photo of the wand. I guess we can detect colors beyond the normal spectrum when connected with Spirit.)
To me, this translated a divine feminine energy ever as powerful as the male counterpart. This helped in my selection of glove soft deer lacing and suede to serve as the grip and ties.
A very unique feature, which I have been using in my own practice, is a small piece of suede used to hold a few herb leaves or tinctures (mixed with herbs and allowed to dry). Roll it up and tie to the wand. I think you may find this to be very helpful during healing sessions, particularly if you are familiar with the healing properties of the various plants you may use in it.
All in all, this is an excellent instrument for the spiritual healer and dimensional explorer. Lightning-activated crystals in the cherry wood cohere with the quartz crystal wand point for the formation of a healing spiral or vortex. Copper aids in the conductivity of healing energy while also helping to ground the wand and its user. It affords excellent protective properties, too, through the generation of intense light.
