SOLD Time is so mercurial, and yet we think we know where we are because of the time-line by which we lead our lives. In the old ways, time was important, but only in a peripheral sense, because the most important thing was, simply, being! This piece represents the concept by revealing time to be slightly off center of our true being, and serves to remind us that the time for healing and a return to balance is now! SOLD TVD505w “The Cradle and the Swing” Cherry Necklace: Lightning does strange things to wood, and in this case, it charred part of a limb while leaving the rest untouched. I cleaned out the charring and found the shape that suggested a cradle, in which I then embedded an emerald chip with copper wire. I attached a beautiful, complimentary jasper stone beneath the piece that is free to swing. It’s as if the intention of the piece is to provide a safe and carefree expression of healing, exactly the way the subject should be approached when attempting to be of service to others. 30-inch calf leather thong necklace with copper plated bar and ring clasp. SOLD TVD510w “Lightning’s Signature” Cherry Necklace: This incredible piece reveals, I believe, what may be an actual path left by a very small tentacle of lightning when it hit the cherry tree from which this piece came. I had no idea it was even there until after I had cut the piece and begun to sand it. (The path is darker than shown in the photo.) It is the perfect representation of my whole philosophy with the Thunder Valley Drums & Shaman Center purpose: to share the sacred energy of Earth and Sky through lightning-struck objects. I also attach an emerald chip with a copper wire stud to each piece of such wood because the chip represents the color of the heart (in the chakra center) and healing, and the copper serves as a carrier and balancing agent of the energy.
